What You Need to Know Come Event Day

Packet Pickup will be available on Friday before the festival at Dive Bar as well as on Saturday morning outside of Academy Sports. We recommend that you pick up your materials if possible on Friday afternoon to avoid the wait on Saturday morning. Packet pickup times and locations are as follows:

Friday (09/24) – 4 pm to 6 pm – DIVE BAR – 1116 Business Loop 70 E, Columbia, MO 65201

Saturday (09/25) – 6 am to 6:45 am in front of Academy Sports (2651 Trimble Rd, Columbia, MO 65201)

Saturday Race Day Schedule – Sept. 25

7 am – Half marathon starts
7:30 am – 5k & 10K starts
8 am – Post race food, beverages and live music
12 pm – End of Betsy Farris Memorial Run

After the Run

Free breakfast: After the race, join us for free breakfast burritos and a beverage. Starting at 8 AM post race we will have a free Dive Bar breakfast burrito or all runners! Just let us know your last name at the conclusion of the run for your free breakfast item.

Timing Chips: The timing chips in the race bibs are disposable, once you cross the finish line you do not need to return them.

Photos: We will have photographers at various parts throughout the course, including the finish line. In order to easily find your photo, please make sure to secure your bib number to the front center of your body. Putting bibs on your back or your side, or failing to securely attach your bib can result in us unable to tag the photo. If your bib falls off, or we are unable to tag your photo, you can still search for your images with our various search tools, such as by time, or location. Your photos will be available a few days after the event. Share the photos you take at the race with us on Facebook! Photos will be posted on: johnkellyphotos.com.

Times and Results: After you cross the finish line you will get a text or email updates on results. There will also be results posted live on a link on the run website.

Our race honors the legacy of Betsy Farris, Roots N Blues Festival director from 2009-2016. Betsy trained, inspired, and mentored many people on their journeys to get fit and stay healthy. Our race is produced by our friends at Off Track Events.

  • Discount price for one festival ticket to the Roots N Blues Festival Music Festival. The code only applies to 3-Day General Admission or Saturday General Admission tickets.

Parking Options

There is no parking available at Stephens Lake Park. There will be plenty of parking available at the start of the event at Academy Sports.   We will NOT be offering the shuttle bus option this year from the downtown Columbia parking garages.
