Why We Started

The Roots N Blues Festival experienced a complete halt in revenue due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

Due to a reduced capacity, increased cost for enhanced public health measures, and the slow return of the industry, Friends of the Festival was formed as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to sustaining the Roots N Blues Festival.

Our Belief

Music is an expressive language of our blended culture. Live music should be a shared multi-generational experience, regardless of age, ability, race, gender, or orientation.

Our Values

Missouri’s contribution to music history is important and should be recognized and celebrated by future generations. Family, community and inclusivity are the values we keep.

Our Future

Our greatest intention is to present a music festival and educational programs that celebrate the richly diverse tapestry of American Roots Music, and Missouri’s role in that history.

Donate Today

Your tax-deductible donation helps further the legacy of the Festival, employs hundreds of Missourians, and provides access to music literacy and history programs to children throughout the state.

If you would prefer to contribute in the form of a check, please make payable to Friends of the Festival and mail to 201 W. Broadway, Suite 3C.

All donations will benefit Friends of the Festival with the mission of supporting local, independently-owned businesses.
