Doug Kershaw Featuring Dave & Deke Combo

The Dave & Deke Combo consists of a quartet of Los Angeles rockabillies, three are transplanted from the Midwest–Columbia’s own Deke Dickerson, along with Dave Stuckey and Lance Hoppen, and one native Angeleno, bassist, Guitar Shorty.

For this appearance, we are honored to announce that the combo will be joined onstage with Cajun music legend, Doug Kershaw. Also known as The Louisiana Man, Kershaw’s music career dates back to 1948.  His namesake song not only sold millions of copies but over the years has come to be considered a standard of modern Cajun music. The song was eventually covered by more than 800 artists and in November 1969, was broadcast back to earth by the crew of the Apollo 12 moon mission.
